SHIFT - GROUND - PAUSE - NOURISH
During this half-day retreat we will shift any stagnant energy through Movement is MedicineĀ® practice with Miranda Grace.
Then, we will ground ourselves on a slow walk in the nearby forest, connecting with the Autumn energies. We will finish with some cake, tea and a short talk about autumn herbs.
Then, guided by Barbara, we will focus on removing tension from our body and slowing down our mind with a restful Restorative and Yin Yoga session
These 4,5 hours will energise and nourish you for a new season ahead. Time amongst friendly humans in beautiful surroundings, but more importantly
TIME FOR YOU.
You donāt need to have any previous yoga, meditation or dance experience. Practices will be really beginner friendly. There will be an option to rest at the Studio if walking for 1h is not accessible for you. Cake and tea selection will accommodate any dietary requirements.
Movement is MedicineĀ® is a movement and dance therapy combining neuroscience, ancient wisdom and rave culture. In the first part of the session, we use EFT, self-massage, and breath work to develop a positive relationship with your body, become more present and relax your nervous system. Then we get up and shake it off! Shaking, or trauma release exercises, is what animals do in the wild to release stress. Humans can access this too as an effortless and fun way to feel healthier.
The dance part is not choreographed. The purpose of this method is to create feeling; allowing you to move and dance in a free flow state that feels good, just like you would at a party! Youāll keep your eyes closed as much as possible throughout your go within: Itās not about how you look, itās about how you feel.
Yin Yoga is mostly floor based practice where postures are held for a few minutes. This length of time is used to open into the thicker layers of connective tissues that a moving, dynamic practice may not as effectively access.
The stillness of the practice provides fertile ground for introspection, self-reflection, and embracing the present moment. It becomes a sanctuary where you can gently release the burdens of daily life, finding solace and clarity within.
Practice will be beginners friendly.
Bolsters, blocks and blankets will be provided. Please wear some warm and comfy clothes, we won't be moving much on the mat.

Iām a qualified movement is medicine teacher, embodiment facilitator, coercive control recovery mentor and bodyworker. I offer sessions online and in person in Oxfordshire, in English or Spanish. I teach my clients body positivity, confidence and self-expression. I have been training and working in this field for 7 years and I want to use my experience, understanding and tools to support others on their journey.

Iām a qualified yoga, meditation and relaxation teacher. Since 2019 I I offer classes either in English or Polish in the Oxfordshire area and online. I share the practice of yoga with my students in group classes, at schools, in workplaces and private sessions. I am passionate about making yoga more inclusive and accessible. I want all of my clients to live a more fulfilling life with less physical and mental discomfort. I'm more interested in reducing stress than doing fancy yoga poses.

The studio is situated within the beautiful courtyard of The Old Farmyard at Forceleap Farm, part of the Newbottle Estate, which is about halfway between Brackley and Banbury. The studio is surrounded by beautiful Northamptonshire countryside, providing the perfect tranquil location. There is on-site free car parking (with electric car charging points) and under-floor heating to keep you warm and cosy! This sounds like a perfect conditions for you to switch off from hustle of the everyday life, isn't it?
